  • 1 kg Baby potatoes peeled and boiled
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Khatai powder
  • 1 tsp Roasted crushed cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp chat masala
  • 1/2 cup tamarind pulp or ilmli ka gooda
  • 4 tbsp kashmiri red chillies paste soak red chillies in hot water for 1 hour & make a paste
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 10 curry leaves
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice

Khattay Aaloo Recipe Procedure

  1. Peel & boil baby potatoes.
  2. In a separate pan heat oil & add curry leaves, grinded Kashmiri chili paste,
    salt, khatai powder, cumin, chat masala, garam masala powder, lemon juice
    and tamarind pulp.
  3. Cook for 10 minutes and remove from the flame.
  4. Garnish with some green coriander or curry leaves.
